The Great Seat Event
As part of our Recreation Facility Expansion Fundraising Campaign, each seat in the new facility is going to be available for purchase to have a personalized engraving placed on the seat. This is a one time, limited oppourtunity so don't miss out! Click on the picture for a printable version of the pledge form which you can fill out and bring to Michele Vanderspank at the Municipal Office Building. 4305 Hamilton Road, Dorchester, Ont. Seats are $100.00 each and there is a maximum of 30 characters per plaque.

The recreation office is located in the Municipal Office building at 4305 Hamilton Road. Scheduling, facility bookings, and other recreation related inquiries can be handled at this location.
Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Online Schedules
Our web schedules are updated as often as possible and are an excellent way of finding out what's going at our recreation facilities. You can check to see when your team is on the ice or find out which teams are using on the ball diamonds. They're also a handy way to look for open ice pad, soccer field and ball diamond times, or to find a suitable rental opportunity in the auditorium and meeting area bookings. The arena is a very busy facility and finding an open ice time in the evening or on weekends is a relatively rare event. But you can significantly improve your chances by using our web schedule often. The ball diamonds are also well used, however there are more opportunities to find openings. Again, our schedule can help you accomplish that.

Arena Advertising
Looking for a great way to promote your business?
The Thames Centre Recreation Facility is scheduled to open in September 2010 and will be used year round by many different user groups including minor hockey, skating lessons, ringette, a tier 3 level junior hockey club, men’s and ladies hockey leagues and numerous sport camps. Community residents will have access to the walking track at no cost throughout the operating hours and the new Gymnasium will receive participants of all ages in new programming such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor soccer, etc. The facility also contains multiple offices and meeting room space, which will be used by a number of different groups and residents for meetings, parties, and other types of gatherings. All of this combined makes our new facility a hub of community activities and provides a great opportunity for your business to advertise.
Right now, your company has the chance to take advantage of the many opportunities to advertise at the Recreation Facility. Thames Centre will offer rink board, wall, 4 sided score clock, ice resurfacer and gymnasium score clock advertising spaces. There will be an electronic dressing room display with opportunities for your company’s message, sales and events to be displayed in front of all local users.
Price list of the many opportunities:
Rink board advertising: 2’ 8” X 10’ - $1000.00 per year (2010 rate Sept – Dec $333.33)
Existing rink board - $ 500.00 per year
Both surfaces (2) rink boards - $1200.00 per year
Wall advertising 4’ X 4’ - $150.00 per year
Backlit wall advertising (new rink) - $ 500.00 per year (if applicable)
Rink score clock advertising (various sizes) - $ 500.00 per year
Gymnasium score clock advertising - $ 500.00 per year
Electronic message display - $150.00 per month
Ice Resurface machine advertising - $5000.00 for 10 year term.
(GST/PST not included)
