Approximately 35 years ago, council made the courageous decision to build the Dorchester Community Centre and Arena Complex. At that time it represented a landmark decision helping to shape the community and impact the lifestyle for all residents.
Again council has taken a bold step in its intention to expand this facility to better serve the needs of the community. In October of 2007 council adopted the Community Services Master Plan which identified areas in greatest need of improvement. It is the intention of the Recreation Facilities Expansion Advisory Committee to do everything it can to help facilitate the implementation of the Community Services Master Plan.
Your support and participation will be a key ingredient to the success of this project and council and the Recreation Facilities Expansion Advisory Committee look forward to working with the community to accomplish our goal.
