Please note that the Municipality of Thames Centre does not conduct civil marriage ceremonies at this time.
Obtain a Marriage Licence AN APPOINTMENT TO OBTAIN A MARRIAGE LICENCE WILL BE MADE AFTER MARRIAGE LICENCE APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED. Licences may be obtained in person at the municipal office for marriage ceremonies taking place anywhere in the province of Ontario. At least one party to the proposed marriage must apply in person. However, the application must be signed by both applicants. The licence expires 3 months after the date of issue. To get a marriage licence, you will need to:

Order a Marriage Certificate After the marriage ceremony, your chosen officiate mails your completed marriage licence for registration to the Office of the Registrar General. Marriage certificates can only be obtained from the Registrar General. No marriage documentation is held at the municipal office.
