Karen Gress

The Centre won’t be the same without a dear member and volunteer.  Karen Flannery, who volunteered at the Centre for over 10 years, lost her short battle with cancer.  You always knew when Karen was here because of her boisterous laughter and her enthusiastic ways.  She would do anything to help a person and she was very passionate about the things she enjoyed.  She loved to play cards & bingo and enjoyed bus trips whenever she had the opportunity to travel.  Her family was very important to her and I enjoyed hearing stories about her children and grandchildren.  She volunteered alongside her husband Frank.  They made a great team.  As a volunteer, she was always ready to put in time and effort to make a program or an event a success.  I will miss Karen because she was a good friend and she great fun.  She could really make a person feel appreciated and cared for.  Our thoughts are with Frank and family at this difficult time.

There will be a bid euchre tournament on December 29 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Come a bit early to enjoy coffee and Tim bits.  A delicious lunch will be included with the price of admission.  Cash prizes to be won!  For more information about this fun day, call Eileen Tupholme at 519-425-2111.
