2026 Community Grant Applications Now Open

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

2026 Community Grant Applications Now Open

Local Groups Can Apply to Community Grants Program Before February 9

THAMES CENTRE – Community Grants are back!

Community Partnership Grants (or Community Grants) are awarded to local groups which undertake projects that benefit the community.

“Community Grants have had a significant impact in supporting residents of all ages,” noted Mayor Sharron McMillan. “These grants have opened the door to help more kids to participate in sports, after-school programs, and robotics competitions. They’ve helped to improve living conditions for seniors, they’ve funded accessibility upgrades, and they’ve supported key improvements to local events and festivals.”

Community Grants of up to $10,000 are available for school groups, associations, non-profits, and other community groups for specific projects that provide a benefit to the community.

Residents who have projects they think may be worthy of Community Grant funding are encouraged to visit the Thames Centre website at https://www.thamescentre.on.ca/communitygrants to learn more about the objectives and criteria of the Community Grants program.

Application forms are available here: 2026 Community Grant - Application Form. A scoring rubric is included with the application.

Grant applications must be submitted before February 9, 2026 at 4 PM.

Successful applicants are also expected to submit a report at the end of the year to detail how the grant funding was used t support the project in question.
