Notice of Intention to Pass Amendments to the Fees and Charges By-law

The Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Thames Centre will consider amendments to the Fees and Charges By-law No. 3-2026, as permitted under the Municipal Act, 2001.

The following Schedules to the Fees and Charges By-law are being proposed to be replaced:

• Schedule D – Planning
• Schedule J – Dorchester Union Cemetery

The proposed fees are available for review at the Municipal Office during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or online at: www.thamescentre.on.ca/draftbylaws

The Municipality is required to give at least 14 days public notice before Council considers the proposed fees. Residents can share their comments with Council before a decision is made.

A Public Participation Meeting will be held as part of the Regular Council Meeting on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Thorndale Lions Community Centre, 265 Upper Queen Street, Thorndale, ON N0M 2P0. Residents are welcome to attend the meeting and speak about the proposed fees before Council makes its decision.

If you would like to provide written comments, you can send them to the Clerk's Office. To be included in the Council agenda package, written comments must be received by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
