Aquatics and Pools
Thames Centre is excited to offer a range of aquatic activities at our seasonal/outdoor Dorchester Community Pool, located at Dorchester Community Park (4275 Hamilton Road). From late June to Labour Day Weekend, we provide drop-in programs, swimming lessons, advanced aquatics, and facility rentals. The Dorchester Community Pool also features a wading pool, and a splash pad for added enjoyment! Thorndale Community Park (265 Upper Queen Street) also offers a splash pad for our residents.
SHOULD YOU REQUIRE ASSISTANCE OUTSIDE OF REGULAR OFFICE HOURS (EVENINGS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS) YOU MAY CONTACT THE FACILITY OPERATORS at 226-376-3931 (Thorndale) or 519-494-6857 (Dorchester).
Community Pool (Seasonal/Outdoor)
Enjoy open swim times and lane swims in our community pool, suitable for all ages. Splash pad season depends on weather, but generally run from mid-May until sometime in September.
This outdoor pool is heated to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and is open to the public each year from mid-June until early September. Our pool had a complete renovation in 2021, including the addition of an accessible ramp into the shallow end.

Pool can be rented prior to Open Swim on Saturdays or Sundays.
$91.37 per hour (+tax). Includes three lifeguards.
The Municipality of Thames Centre offers private and semi-private lessons for participants throughout the summer.
Swim Team is schedules are subject to change each season.
- The Wading Pool is open 7 days a week
- Monday - Friday: 10am - 7pm
- Weekends: 1pm - 7pm
- There is no fee to use the Wading Pool
- Open to children 8 and under. Parents & Guardians must accompany their children.
