Municipally Initiated Housekeeping Amendment to the Municipality of Thames Centre Comprehensive Zoning By-law

The Municipality of Thames Centre is holding a Public Participation Meeting to propose a Housekeeping Amendment to the Zoning By-law under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. The purpose and effect of the proposed Housekeeping Amendment to the Zoning By-law is to discuss the proposed amendment to the General Provisions (Section 4) and Definitions (Section 2) related to the provisions of shipping containers (sea cans).

Public Participation Meeting Details: 

Date: Monday, October 6^th, 2025 

Time: 5:00 p.m. (starting time of the regularly scheduled council meeting)

Location: Thorndale Lions Community Centre, 295 Upper Queen Street, Thorndale

How to Participate:

The Municipality’s Council will hold a Public Participation Meeting to consider the subject application, which will be held in a hybrid format, being conducted electronically and in-person. 

Date:    Monday, October 6^th, 2025

Time:    5:00 p.m.

Place:   This will be a hybrid meeting.

Thorndale Lions Community Centre, 295 Upper Queen Street, Thorndale

             and broadcasted live on the Municipality’s YouTube Channel.

Other Information:

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Thames Centre before the Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Municipality of Thames Centre to the Ontario Land Tribunal. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Municipality of Thames Centre before the Zoning By-law Amendment is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing.
