Purpose

This committee works towards promoting awareness and ensuring the barriers to accessibility in our community are identified and eliminated for improved accessibility in our Municipality.

Purpose

The Active Living Centre Advisory Committee (ALCAC) supports and resolves issues that arise at the Lions Senior Centre to ensure programs and services operate efficiently.

The Committee is the liaison between the Members of the Lions Active Living Centre and the Active Living Centre Coordinator.  The Committee supports the Active Living Centre Coordinator by providing feedback on senior programs consistent with the goals and objectives of the Lions Active Living Centre members.

Purpose

The Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) is a volunteer Committee. The Committee was formed in 2023 to support and advise Council on matters associated with generating and sustaining business investment and to champion and promote economic development within Thames Centre.

Purpose

The Environmental Advisory Committee for the Municipality of Thames Centre is established to support and advise Council in implementing the environmental goals and policies of the Municipality of Thames Centre.

The Local School Advisory Committee (LSAC) works towards identifying opportunities to enhance publicly funded schools within the Municipality and to address local community needs in conjunction with school boards.

Purpose

The Thames Centre Special Events Committee (TCSEC) was established to enhance and provide a structured approach to special events within the Municipality. Immediate special events coordination will encompass but not be limited to Canada Day Celebrations and Festival of Lights community events.

The Municipality of Thames Centre established the Sports Wall of Fame Committee to recognize, honour and preserve the athletic accomplishments and contributions of our community.

Purpose

The Thorndale Lions Community Centre Ad Hoc Committee (TLCCAHC) was established to develop a shovel ready project for the potential future expansion of the Thorndale Lion’s Community Centre, using the surplus of funds raised by the community for use on the Centre.
