Speaking at a Council Meeting
Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers at 4305 Hamilton Road in Dorchester and twice a year at the Thorndale Lions Community Centre located at 265 Queen Street.

Regularly scheduled council meetings can be viewed in person or remotely through a live stream on our YouTube page. The live stream will be available when the regularly scheduled meeting begins.
Agendas and reports for council meetings are published online before the meeting.
Speak at a Meeting
To speak before Council as a delegation, please submit your request and any supporting documentation at least 10 business days before the meeting you wish to attend. The request should outline the reason for your appearance. The Clerk will confirm your inclusion on the agenda before the meeting.

Petitions
Individuals may submit written correspondence or petitions related to matters under the jurisdiction of Council for inclusion on an Agenda.
Please be advised that petitions submitted at a public meeting are considered to form part of the public record. Accordingly, if you wish to submit a petition please ensure that everyone has signed it understands that their personal information will be available to the public and will not be protected under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 1990, as amended.
Please note that petitions submitted via an external petition website will not be accepted as a formal petition.
