Speaking at a Council Meeting
Thames Centre Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers at 4305 Hamilton Road in Dorchester and twice a year at the Thorndale Lions Community Centre located at 265 Queen Street in Thorndale. They are held in a hybrid format, being conducted electronically and in-person.
Council Meeting Registration
Registration is required to join online Zoom Webinar meetings and is politely requested for in-person participation. If you register to attend the meeting virtually, you will be required to participate. You should have a statement prepared for Council's consideration.
Comments expressed and written material presented are a matter of public record for full disclosure.
To participate online, we request that registration be completed by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting, when possible.
Another way to participate is by submitting a written statement (comments@thamescentre.on.ca) by noon on the Wednesday before the meeting. These statements are provided to Council for consideration.
If you register to attend virtually, you will receive a confirmation email from Zoom containing a link to join the meeting. You may need to install Zoom software on your device prior to the meeting.
If you register to attend in-person, you will still receive a confirmation email from Zoom containing a link to join the meeting virtually. You may wish to retain this email for use in the event that you are no longer able to attend the meeting in-person.
