2026/27 – Fairview Road - Hot Mix Asphalt

Construction Date: Anticipated June 2026 – October 2026

Scope: The project scope is to upgrade Fairview Road from surface treatment to high-quality bituminous asphalt, driveway restoration, granular A shouldering, and the upgrade from a cable guide rail to a steel beam guide rail installation adjacent to the Government Drain. The project will convert one of three segments between Dundas Street and Meadowbrook Lane in Thorndale.  Existing pavement exhibits edge cracking, wheel track rutting, and severe spring-thaw damage, which undermine safety, increase vehicle wear, and require frequent repairs. Replacing the surface with durable asphalt will deliver a smoother roadway, reduce dust and noise, and lower long-term maintenance costs over a 20–25-year lifecycle.
