Thames Centre is updating our Trails & Cycling Master Plan!
This document will be created in consultation with the community. The updated Master Plan will contain recommendations concerning the future of trails and cycling paths in our community! The Master Plan serves as a guiding document that will advance the Municipality's trails and cycling networks with recommendations and by identifying prioritized routes and linkages.
This plan will be developed with consultants at RJ Burnside & Associates (https://www.rjburnside.com) who were selected following an open bidding process.
Consultations
Open House events were held on May 20 at the FlightExec Centre, and on May 22 at the Thorndale Lions Community Centre. Residents were able to review maps of current trail networks, discuss their issues and concerns with staff, and submit their ideas for building a better trails network with members of Council, municipal staff, and consultants.
Many great discussions were had, and we appreciate the participation of residents who attended these events.
For those who were unable to attend these events, the Open House materials are being hosted on this page. Residents can review this information, and submit their ideas online.
