Freedom of Information Requests

To make a formal request under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), please submit a completed Freedom of Information Request Form and submit it to the Clerk's Department, along with the required $5 fee.

This fee must be submitted with the form for it to be considered a complete request. Once the form has been deemed completed by the Clerk or designate, the Municipality is required to respond to your request within thirty (30) days. 

This fee can be paid by cash, debit or cheque at the front counter during office hours (8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday). Please make cheques payable to the Municipality of Thames Centre. If you'd like to pay online by credit card, please email clerk@thamescentre.on.ca 

Requests may be dropped off in person, placed in the overnight drop box or can be mailed to the following:

Please note additional charges may be incurred depending on the complexity and scope of the request, as per the current Fees and Charges by-law.

Appeals

You have the right to appeal any decision relating to a Freedom of Information (FOI) Request. Your appeal must be filed directly to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) of Ontario.
